The CDC Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommends that certain adults receive the following vaccines.

Vaccines for adults (age 18 and above):

Vaccines for adult travelers:

Vaccines for adults age 50 and older:

Vaccines for adults age 65 and older:

Vaccines for healthcare workers:

CDC's reference book on vaccine-preventable diseases (includes information on the above subjects and more):


Several of the vaccines listed above are recommended for adults in other age groups under certain specific circumstances. See the 2004-2005 ACIP immunization recommendations directly below for more information.
