The tools in this section provide local organizations with the essential elements to promote adult immunization. The tools are grouped into four categories, based on intended audience. All four audiences are critical to increase the awareness - and then demand - for adult immunizations.
Click on the category below to see the tools provided for the group.
- General Public - The general population of adults is a key audience - for the choices they make for themselves and as caretakers of older adults. The chosen tools are intended for general distribution.
- Health Care Worker Influenza Vaccination Tool Kit - Unvaccinated employees are a key cause of flu outbreaks in health care settings. The tools in this kit are designed to increase acceptance of flu shots by providing health care workers with specific information from influential sources, including senior management and line managers.
- Health Care Providers – In the U.S., the majority of adult immunizations are delivered in physician offices or clinics and a recommendation from a trusted health care professional remains one of the most important motivators for an adult to receive recommended immunizations. These tools assist physicians and their office staff to screen clients and appropriately administer adult immunizations.
- Media – As always, the media remains a key method of reaching all audiences. These tools have been developed to assist local stakeholders in their work with media outlets.
