Improving Public Awareness: Working With the Media
One of the major goals of the CAIC’s 2007 National Adult Immunization Awareness Week (NAIAW) is to improve public awareness on the importance of adult immunizations. A key partner in this effort is the media as their messages are communicated far beyond the reach of most local agencies, organizations and coalitions.
For your convenience, the CAIC has developed several templates and resources you can adopt or customize for use by your organization or coalition prior to or during 2007 National Adult Immunization Awareness Week.
These fact sheets include helpful information that can help you stress the importance of two recommended adult vaccines, the influenza (flu) vaccine and tetanus-diphtheria-acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine, when speaking with media contacts.
Please consider using the CAIC’s Official Press Release regarding NAIAW 2007. If you use the press release as is, with CAIC’s name and contact information, please do not alter its contents in any way.
The CAIC developed this downloadable Op/Ed letter template that can be customized and used by your organization or coalition to promote awareness of adult immunizations during NAIAW 2007.
